Description
Post-germinating selective herbicide to combat grasses and broad-leaved weeds in winter wheat (hard and soft), spring wheat (hard and soft), rye and triticale.
Atlatis OD is a systemic, selective herbicide of the sulfonylouria group. It acts by blocking the enzyme ALS, a synthetase of oxalactate, so the biosynthesis of amino acids necessary for their growth (leucine, isoleucin, valine) stops in weeds, resulting in them becoming chlorotics and eventually deadening.
It is absorbed mainly by the leaves and to a very small extent by the roots and then transported with both the anion and the cations juice. The main point of action is the meristomic tissues of weeds. A couple of days after spraying the growth of the fighting weeds has already stopped, and the first symptoms begin to appear. Complete necrosis occurs within 4-6 weeks.
