Description
The herbicide Merlin Flexx Xtra contains the active substance isoxaflutole and is applied prophyrotically and early post-germinators of the cultivation of maize, when the weeds are in the stage of rapid growth.
Isoxaflutole is a systemic herbicide and acts by blocking the 4-HPPD enzyme. It is absorbed by both the roots and the shoots and foliage of weeds and causes characteristic chlorosis in weeds.
Seeds that come into contact with isoxaflutole do not germinate or young weeds are chlorinated and their growth stops rapidly. The application of isoxaflutole to already sprouted young weeds causes their injury and their final control.
